So this weekend has been like 100 mph. I only have 1 1/2 days left here in LA before I go back to Sweden! Crazy. The trip came and went so fast. I can hardly believe it.
It has been a whirlwind of trying to do all the things I wanted to do in LA last minute before I left.
On Saturday my boyfriend and I met up with a couple we know from my study abroad program in Sweden and got some delicious Ramen in Little Tokyo. My friend Layla knows where all the good food is and she didn’t disappoint. She took us to Daikokuya Ramen on E. 1st Street. The line was huge, but totally worth it. I got the Spicy Miso Ramen, which was amazing. And we all split the gyoza which was out of this world! http://www.daikoku-ten.com/locations/littletokyo/ Here is their website!
We then walked to the Japanese-American Museum around the corner while we digested and got in for free because they have some Saturday program. We did the arts and crafts that were set up for the kids and literally the kids probably did a better job than I did.
Afterwards we walked around the little courtyard center of Little Tokyo. Let me tell you that there is some prime people watching that occurs there. They even set up some karaoke thing in the middle and I was shocked…people actually came up and sang. The first 5 people were just…I don’t know how to describe it but it was totally unexpected. They all sang these depressing lost love songs that were hypnotizing! It was amazing.
As you can see, elevators go to the left in Little Tokyo and defy physics. Later we met up with one of my best friends and went to some trendy art show in downtown. I definitely didn’t belong there. Was not cool enough at all. We all felt pretty out of place but still had a lot of fun. We met up with some other people from the university we both attended and talked the night away. Very exciting!
Yesterday we did the pepsi challenge.
Now I have to pack. ugh
